HEY!
« on: November 27, 2015, 01:00:40 AM »
Why don't we stop praising the size of our turkeys, worrying about refugees, and start whining about something we really cannot control!

Something that happened 300 years ago that we cannot change and wouldn't if we could (because we wouldn't be here then):

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/thanksgiving-not-popular-for-all-americans-especially-the-original-inhabitants/ar-AAfHnrW?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=iehp

This is the dumbest protest I have ever heard about (Mizzou students being a close 2nd).

What was it Agent K said? "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that . . . " Pilgrims are to blame for all the problems of Native American Indians (even though the Indians commonly warred with each other, killed, raped, enslaved from the people of invading/warring tribes . . . The more things change the more they stay the same.

And it's people where we get protesters.

I lived on the Navajo reservation for 1.5 years, and currently employ 6 of them. All but one could careless about Thanksgiving one way or the other. The one semi militant Indian I employ once gave me done greif over the day, I promptly explain the true story of thanksgiving which subdued him.

You are clueless.  This is not about what you can put maple syrup on so your parallel is inaccurate.  This is about bacon.  Bacon goes with everything including maple syrup.  Bacon on wedding cakes would work excellent.  There is nothing that bacon does not make better.

There are lots of Indians in Bradford that make curries and like cricket :old:

Ah, Indians invented the game of Snooker also, but under a different name. Sir Neville Chamberlain refined the game, installed the rule that jumping balls was illegal (it mars the surface you know), and named the game (after noob British Army officers).

And they Christened the game over SAUSAGES (no bloody bacon) and tea.

No one was sorry then or ever since.

Stop glorifying it. The smear campaign about it causing cancer has been somewhat successful at getting the price down.
This kind of behavior does not help our cause.
