Do me a favour - Dropbox test
« on: December 05, 2015, 02:07:53 AM »
Evening all, can you guys do me a favour and tell me if this link allows you to open a file I uploaded to Dropbox without any difficulties?

By "difficulties" I mean "Sorry, you have to sign up to Dropbox", or seeing it half-in half-out of Dropbox. I want it just to open into Excel when folks click on the "Open" button.

Thanks in advance, link is:

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

A sign in/up window appears, but there is a "no thanks just download" button.

If you close (x button in the top right corner) the sign on/up window you can click the download button and it will download the excel file.

Thanks Gents, I guess that's close enough.

If the file is in your public folder you can right click on the file and click on "copy public link" and just paste a direct link to the file, like this:

I can download it in my phone without logging into Dropbox.
