I'm not a gv person but I think u can check in the hangars what MM each one has. I think AP rounds are better for gv penetration. I can be wrong tho.

Yep, I'm not yet a ground vehicle person either that's why I was hoping someone could help me out.  I know we have folks who know all about these things.

To add, the SDk is best used if your trying to get troops into a town and your aircover is not great. It IS slower than the M3 (what most people use) but, has proven to be a stronger transport, so one strafe run from an aircraft might not kill you.

Regarding the opening post of this thread:

Kanth made this thread to get information for the Vehicles section of the "New Aces High Trainer's Website" that She is volunteering her time to help the AH Training corps get completed, hopefully in time for the launching of the new Aces High version that is coming soon....

So if any of you proficient GV'ers feel like writing up some tips (does and don'ts), etc to submit to be used on the new website, Kanth is helping us with...it would be much appreciated

Submit the GV write up to Kanth or FLS, for review and your work might just be used in helping the AHTC and Kanth in getting the new website completed in time for the launching of the new version of the game...

We normally would not have to be asking for volunteers, but the AHTC lost the only Trainers ever chosen strictly for GV training duties both this year....Whels and WWhiskey, may they rest in peace!

Thank you for any help, anyone can offer....it will be much appreciated from all the AHTC!

Sincerely,

FLS and all the AH training corps (and DmdKanth)

Hope this helps.  It's compiled from a project I started several years ago but never finished
(compiling a list of all vehicles used in WWII).  I know it's incomplete and it also has a couple of extras where I wasn't sure which model was in AH (going from memory after not playing much in a long time).

Anyway, here it is (includes country, production years and total production numbers):

Hetzer Germany 1944-1945 3022 (Jagdpanzer 38(t)) - 75 mm PaK 39 L/48 gun on a widened Pz 38(t) chassis (Sd.Kfz. 138/2)
Jagdpanther Germany 1943-1945 425 Tank Destroyer with an 88 mm L/71 PaK43 gun on Panzer V chassis (Sd.Kfz. 173)
Jagdpanzer IV Germany 1944-1944 769 Tank Destroyer with 75 mm L/48 gun on Panzer IV chassis (Sd.Kfz. 162)
Jagdpanzer IV/70 Germany   1944-1945 1208    Tank Destroyer with 75 mm L/70 gun on Panzer IV chassis (Sd.Kfz. 162/1)
Jeep   USA 1941-1945 647925
M18 GMC USA 1943-1944 2507 Gun Motor Carriage (Tank Destroyer), also known as the Hellcat with a 76 mm M1 gun
M4 (76) Sherman USA 1944-1945 10883 Medium Tank with 76 mm M1-series gun
M8 HMC USA 1942-1944 1778 Howitzer Motor Carriage, 75 mm M2 or M3 howitzer on M5 hull
Ostwind Germany 1944-1945 43 Anti Aircraft. 37mm FlaK 43 L/89 on Panzer IV chassis, with armored turret (Flakpanzer IV)
Panther Germany 1943-1945 6132 (Panzer V) was armed with a 75 mm KwK 42 L/70 gun (Sd.Kfz. 171)
Pz III A-F Germany 1939-1940 553 Armed with 37 mm gun
Pz III G-J Germany 1940-1942 2390 Armed with 50 mm L/42 gun
Pz IV F2-J Germany 1942-1945 7394 Panzer IV with long 75 mm L/43 or L/48 gun
T-34 USSR 1940-1944 34780 Originally armed with a 76-mm gun; this was upgraded to a higher-velocity 76-mm
T-34-85 USSR 1944-1945 22559 85-mm gun in a bigger turret.
Tiger I Germany 1942-1944 1350 (Panzer VI E/H) was armed with an 88 mm L/56 gun (Sd.Kfz. 181)
Tiger II Germany 1943-1945 490   (Panzer VI B, also known as Königstiger) was armed with an 88 mm L/71 gun (Sd.Kfz. 182)
Wirbelwind Germany 1944-1945 106 Anti Aircraft. quadruple 20mm FlaK 38 L/112.5 guns on Panzer IV chassis, with armored turret (Flakpanzer IV)

Thank you.

We'd also like to include a description of what each vehicle does well in the game and what it doesn't do well.
The sort of tips you'd give a new player when describing the vehicles.

If anyone would like to share what they know it would be helpful. You don't have to do the whole list.
