TRack IR help.
« on: December 18, 2015, 02:55:00 PM »
Is there a way to use track Ir so it uses the snap views, then configure the hat switches or buttons to sled left or right, and up and down?

I like the snap views and stability when using x,y and I think z.But when use more Axis it is tough to look behind and I lose track of planes behind me. I always end up staring into the seat as I get shot down.  It currently won't let me use buttons for the other axis.  Help?!!!   Thanks

Do you mean pitch and yaw for what you're comfortable with?  In other words, you can angle your head to look up, down, left, and right?

Assuming that's what you mean, if you disable the other axes (x, y, and z) in your trackIR profile, you can then use the hat for saved positions and still look around from those positions, but you can't slide your head sideways or forward or back or up and down with the trackIR.

If you're having trouble seeing behind you, I'd consider playing with your settings more and/or checking that your sensor positioning isn't causing an issue if you try to turn or slide too far.

Thanks for the Reply Wiley,   I think I have come to same conclusion you have written.  I just don't know how to mess with my settings enough toget it
RIght?   I have had track it for over 1 year and use it when playing dcs .  But in aces high I can't get comfortable with it.  It seems to jump all over the place on me in fights. Which is why I reached out for help, I am over the getting used to stage , . Curious as to what others do?

Here are a bunch of profiles I have saved from different players.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/xehkt23l458wq87/TrackIR_profiles_7_18_15.zip

Unzip and drop into the profile folder. When you open TrackIR in the drop down it will list them by player name.

You may have your "smoothing" slider to far which can over load your PC giving you a jerk motion.  Also try slowing the speed slider.

configure a button on stick tp "pause" tacir then use hat switch at will. i set mine up so that it has a dead zone strait ahead. have all axis enable, confusing at first but as i have learned it. only dead spot on f4u is underneath it.

You can use the hat switch while running TrackIR and it will give you the default snap views. TrackIR will slew your head position while holding the hat view so when you look back at the headrest you can easily look around it.
