The Navy trains with SWIC boats far inland.  On the northern edge of Fort Knox, a large section of the Salt River is blocked off from civilian use.  That's where they practice all the standard stuff: infiltration, extraction, live-fire, etc etc. 

SWIC boats actually played a pretty big part in the Battle of Fallujah.  Ironic using boats in the desert, huh?

What is the SOP for this type of situation?  I know when a Navy P-3 had to land at a Chinese base, the crew smashed as much of the equipment on the plane as they could and destroyed paperwork.
