Many are a product of their surroundings. I traveled the world as an Air Force brat. When I was 12 My dad settled us in central Georgia. Up until then I spoke the same way local news casters do. No matter where they are from they all sound the same, clear and concise.
By the time I left high school I could understand the person in the video and unfortunately she would not find me out of place.
Visited LA at 21. The ones that are not high sound like the before mentioned news casters. Asked someone for directions once and the first thing he asked was "I hope you didn't bring any hogs with you. They tear up our crops when they get loose."
