It's funny all the "lets take this to the da!!!!!!" Comments I've seen on 200 or Pms over the years
Sometimes some people need to get shut up...it's the best way :)

You will learn more in the DA then anywhere else even if you get shot down every time. Yes you get some wannabees in the DA lake that just pick that cant handle MA. But where better to learn low alt defense then DA where you can up faster and get practice faster with less flying time from place to place ( Like the art of the bleed  :)). You will also get lots of people that will help you if you just ask and from very good sticks also. The game has a very steep learning curve and the more hrs you put in and learn from them the better you will get. You get faster hrs in in the DA then anywhere else.  :)

Custom arenas get you more reps...I think AH should make The Fews 1v1 arena the new DA.

True, but why even call it a "Dueling Arena" if it isn't for fighters...should be battle arena  :D

DA used to be an awesome venue but lately there is just so much poor game play , insults , taunting and down right embaressing behavior people are tired of right clicking and reporting players with NO outcome at all that they just say the Hell With IT. Best luck with begging on 200 only to have some swollen ego player and the term {player} is used very loosely ,slap a video of you on youtube and downgrade you some more. Miss the days where we helped each other out and dueled to improve situational awareness. Also having 160 to 180 players MAX in main arena lends to their just not being enough in the pool to trickle down to the Dueling Arena. If DA time is what you really are looking for ask someone to join you on channel 200. Poor gameplay, constant verbal abuse allowed on channel 200, and mods hit or miss addressing to such has a big deal to do with current conditions and arena numbers as well. People are just tired of it so they stick to what suits them and keep it moving. Been here since 2005 and see the same people soon as I long on spamming 200 all day with insults and taunts towards players.

I'm used to it seeing and dealing with it but to the new players just downloading the game and think they are going to be engaged in fun encounters with players on all sides of the map ,or simply just respected as a fellow player etc. etc. They let their 2 week subscription run out and they go play XBOX or Play Station and give us not a 2ND thought. Take a look at the comparison of arena numbers from today to some years ago. Of course this is a game of war and for the most part with the exception of handfull of youth the play the game we are all grownups but certain players have turned the venue into the tonight show without Letterman or Leno. By all means after a good fight ....chest thump and Five but try giving a  :salute ,or a helpful tip or hint as to what was done in error during the engagement as some do rather than downgrading the person who has already lost and been killed by you further twisting knife in a bested opponent. I have been contributing $14.99 a month into this game for 11 YEARS and 2 months. That totals out to $2008.67 not to include the computer rigs and CH gear and everything else that comes along with the investment. Some of us Ole'Timers may know just a tiny bit of which we speak give or take :D. This is one of the best if not the best first person shooter realtime flight simulation games out there available to us and it's up to each one of us to keep it that way in order to bring in NEW players! You may find that seed planted will render much more FRUIT for the game.
