way to go, killshooter left on for fso
« on: January 15, 2016, 10:37:29 PM »
kinda ruins fso when the killshooter is left on. the axis attacks, you get into a dogfight, somebody crosses infront of you and your out of game play, when no enemy plane is even firing on you.one ping gives you an oil hit or a pilot wound.  FREAKIN BS

We saw that and fixed it; we're human. Sorry for your loss. You could have contacted the Setup CM on channel 202. Chances are very good that he'd have let you re-up.

the only difference in leaving kill shooter on, or shutting it off, is who gets punished for pulling the trigger, if your squaddie flies in front of you! As a habit, I stop shooting when my squaddie gets in front of me, so I don't punish him.

its all about discipline. It shouldn't matter if its on or off! So you killshot yourself, shame on you, it would've been your squaddie instead!

the CM's do a great job, but they too are human. you could always volunteer to join the CM team, so that you could do the setups, and make sure that it never happens again.....

just my 2 cents! Axis uber alles!!!

So...  Just to recap for the cheap seats, you friendly fired someone and are fussy because your night ended instead of his.  Please... continue telling us of this grave injustice.

He was firing at a P-38 that was in very close attacking the bombers we were escorting. Some rounds missed the 38 and struck a bomber.

The exact same thing happened to me. I saw in the text buffer that I shot myself three times. All I had to do was adjust my aiming and be more careful. Funny thing is.. That worked! I had a great time after that!  All I'm saying is this is a simple fix. Adjust and move on.  :salute to the staff for a great FSO!

i only shot myself 2 times(killshooter)   but that was enough to cause an oil hit to my plane, therby ending my sortie, over enemy territory. landing it on the water gave me the "you were captured" message.  trying to re-up took 10mins of me in the tower waiting and trying to re-up.  i finally re-upped and spent most of the remainder of the time  trying to get to where the fighting was.

Well that's a real good story there sir. 1 point killshooter was my fault mistake made. 2 want to see the recording of you declining to re up claiming whats the point. Then you come to the boards post about it then go back in fso wait till another
of your squad says he was killshot I let him re up you tailgated please do not say you were just waiting in tower.
