Scott, I didn't mean you or your post, I should have made that clear, I was referring ONLY to those who complain about the 14.95 price now, as that's still a complaint I see from time to time, I've rarely/never seen one about hardware costs.  It used to be much more, as was the net connection and the hardware even to some extent needed to play the game at max settings/fps.  I found that post interesting which is why I posted my similar experience, right from day one of this game.

started with a Logitech 3D Pro twisty, . . .
Now, piece by piece; Saitek Combat Pro Pedals, CH throttle & stick, TrackIR5 with proclip, and on my 5th headset - ROCCAT KAVE 5.1.
All of it mounted on a Roger Dodger Aviation.com PVC simpit.

All together, not counting sub, around $1200. I'm not counting the 'puter.

Will be using my income tax refund as a war chest for a new 'puter.

I'm hooked, and luvin' it.

yup sorry bud checked to see if it was up gradable and nope .  not asus. some brands are . if you had enough power i could build you 1 for your mobile home for less then that $2500

Money well spent. People throw money away on all kinds of things. Least your having fun and not hurting anyone. 

I know people who struggle with money and still go to bars every weekend. €5 for a beer at the cheapest and you know one is never enough. Make it a full round trip in the town with entrance fees, adding the €15 late night fast food and €40 taxi back home... Unless you end up taken into custody for participating a fight in the taxi queue... Easily €100 for one night only. Double that for serving a round for your table. Quadruplicate that if your spouse joins you... 

Playing AH with up to the task gear is cheap compared to that!

As long as it plays AH3 I'll take it. I actually paid more for the one I got it's got the nvida 870m but I don't think it's got the dedicated graphics ..with the g750js-ts71 I'm getting 8-19 fps on AH3 on AH2 I got all the graphics maxed out and still getting 60-61 fps
