to the 49th's
« on: January 31, 2016, 01:24:36 PM »
your b29 mission was a very successful mission.  it created a lot of excitement in the arena. we looked forward to it for a couple of weeks.  I was planning to take a day off if I was scheduled to work friday.  I say it ranked up there with fso.

but at the same time, understand that we planned to hit you when you were taking off. why?  because you were most vulnerable then.  we talked about it for a couple of weeks.  we just waited to see which map was up and then we knew exactly which base you were taking off.  no spying just common sense.

the fact that you went off the map, i kind of expected and honestly I would have done the same.  so we waited till you came back on the map and hit you again.  then again as you traveled to your target.

but in all it was a lot of fun.  congratulations on your successful mission. the mission was more to create excitement in the game, I think, rather than counting on how many bombs fell or how many rtb.

Well, Dallas, part of the issue is you guys just don't present very well on your own behalf. You interrupt 1v1 duels, you take down HQ repeatedly to the great annoyance of many, and you generally just seem to have a great time griefing people. You shouldn't be surprised that pretty much everything you do is met by some with criticism and contempt...

Given Merlin's post, In willing to believe you guys honestly didn't know about the ammo bug, but can you really blame others if they won't?

It doesn't have to be this way, but you seem to prefer it <shrug>

You're never going to drop the duel thing are you? You love the bring it up in every post you make. Drop it.

The HQ is a strategic target and if you don't want it taken down, You should defend it. End of discussion.

We were unaware that bullets were rubber outside of the map, Obviously we don't go out of bounds often.

I'm just saying if you want to do these things, you can't really expect people to like you.  You do them so often, that I gather you don't really care or want people to like you.  Which is fine, we don't need to validate you, but it does make me wonder why you keep getting all worked up about people not liking you?

BTW are you the same Dallas that was oDallaso back in the day?

Interesting.  I remember that oDallaso used to feign ignorance about what the private fields at a dueling arena were for too.

holy fark.....

Everyone has to have their say don't they? Couldn't just maintain the thread direction eh? Just HAVE to get a stab in? What purpose (other than your own ego) does posting in this thread to detract from the mission or a group involved in the mission?    You guys are on Dallas, yet you're making yourself look foolish by continuing to have your sandbox tantrums...

<S> Semp, even though I was on the runway when you guys were lurking nearby....

"successful" or not, the mission saw involvment in the MA not seen since this rookie has joined the game... 23 b-29 pilots, and at least 18 escorts, PLUS the enemies, of which comprised of knits and bish...

I dunno, I just don't see the big deal. Off map for less than 10 minutes whilst mission was in air over 2 hours. (By the way, alot of us buffs didn't know the ammo thing off map and were spraying and praying all the while)

MA participation is what makes the sandbox fun.

You guys should be thanking the 49th for keeping your interest in the game, even if it's by doing things you think are gamey, lame, or cowardly. They keep coming back as a group doing those things providing you guys with an evil enemy to shoot at. Then you get to come in here and channel your inner Internet game hero self by picking up the fight and hating your enemy in glorious gory text even more. That Oh so hategasmic feeling of self righteousness. I'm good, you are bad, let me lambast you over the many shades of your evil that damages "My Game"......

Combat games need hero's and villains to look forward to hating and trashing. Everyone is a hero from behind their keyboard. The 49th seem not to mind being villains to so many while providing that very important service. And you guys have no lack of outrageous indignation to heap on them over their antics.

Win, win all around.
