Zika-linked condition: WHO declares global emergency
« on: February 01, 2016, 04:13:20 PM »
Hmm, side effect of the global warming, more insects to spread diseases.  I hope is getting contained, just a temporary  :noid like Ebola last year; People make fun of our cold weather, but low temperature works like a disinfectant and mosquitoes are frozen 6 months/year;

Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon.

This is going to be a serious dent in Brazil's hosting of the 2016 Summer Olympics.

That, and it will probably hasten the spread of Zika into other countries.

Yes, but unfortunately it seems highly infectious, and one of those rare results is a baby with microencephaly and severe mental impairment.

So, when you get 100 million people infected, although rare, you still get a lot of heart-breaking, horrible outcomes.

Ok, the news bs is boring time for some conspiracies; :banana: :noid :rock

Did Bill Gates screwed up something with his GMO mosquitoes? maybe not bad intentions, but i understand was financing this Frankenstein GMO mosquitoes to do some forced bite/vaccination, or.. depopulation, part of Agenda 21.  :noid

"The current global outbreak of the Zika virus may have originated from GM mosquitoes that were released in Brazil during trials funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. "

"Zika Outbreak Epicenter In Same Area Genetically-Modified Mosquitoes Released In 2015" Brazil

The Zika virus, which has been detected in 18 of the 26 states in Brazil, is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. A generically modified version has been developed by a British biotech company called Oxitec.
Oxitec first unveiled its large-scale, genetically-modified mosquito farm in Brazil in July 2012, with the goal of reducing “the incidence of dengue fever,” as The Disease Daily reported. Dengue fever is spread by the same Aedes mosquitoes which spread the Zika virus — and though they “cannot fly more than 400 meters,” WHO stated, “it may inadvertently be transported by humans from one place to another.” By July 2015, shortly after the GM mosquitoes were first released into the wild in Juazeiro, Brazil, Oxitec proudly announced they had “successfully controlled the Aedes aegypti mosquito that spreads dengue fever, chikungunya and zika virus, by reducing the target population by more than 90%.”

The non-serious answer:  Yes -- it is part of the plans of the Illuminati and their agent and sometimes-overlord Zack.

The serious answer:  I would guess that one that bites you is no better or worse at transmitting viruses than non-GM mosquitoes.

The problem isn't global warming, it's the irresponsible way that Brazil and other countries of the southern hemisphere treat sewage and runoff water.
