Looking to return - where is the game now from 6 years ago?
« on: February 01, 2016, 04:26:16 PM »
I hope some familiar faces find this post,

Its been about 6 years since I last played AH. I had been pretty involved in the special events scene like snapshots (I helped design a few) and scenarios (I XO'd two of them). I left for a large combination of reasons, but I feel an urge to return to this game sometime in the near future (spring break more then likely). So i'm wondering - how much had changed in the past 6 years and are there still lots of special events? Thank you in advance :)

Hey Subway... Nice to see you're still around. I came back from a 4 year hiatus myself. The water is fine. I think most of the old stuff is still around. The only changes I've noticed are less numbers (though that seems to be on an uptick), more Yaks flying around, and a really cool feature where your place will occasionally be saved for a few minutes if you disco.

Good to see that there are still people here that I know :)

I have to wait until spring break to get my joystick, throttle etc from my house since I'm at college right now, but once I do i'll be back!

Events are alive and well. Like a good wine they along with the game have gotten better with age. The only set back overall has been the decline in numbers. During prime time numbers are strong but even with low numbers if your willing to start a fight you will always find one.

As far as the MA I think the biggest difference you will notice will be the strat system. It completely effects how the map is defended or won. It effects absolutely every aspect of the game so long as someone is willing to invest the time to work the system and believe me its work but it pays off big!

If you have the spare time these days I highly encourage you to come back and see for yourself! Dust off the old joystick or enjoy the thrills of buying a new one with the anticipation of returning. Fire up a new account and get you some :salute
