Plinko is a good fight...been running into him more often now. Good K4 stick for sure.

And with regards to Shane...maybe I only saw him on returns when he wasn't up to his glory days but he wasn't hard to kill....good fight but in the end...LA7 does make a pilot a better stick.

Eh Shane could fly them all. I'll never forget climbing towards these 4 dots which became 3 friendlies and 1 P47. As I got to about 5k I saw one friendly explode ... Then the next... And the next... And very soon my G2 was shot to pieces and I was on my way to the tower as well.

I mean you know as well as anyone that it's an any given Sunday kind of deal, but Shane was definitely a guy who would win most one week.

I'll never forget a pilot I encountered only on a handful of occasions. His callsign was Yoda I believe. This particular fight happened years ago but, I was flying a P-51D and I merged with this 109K4 at 20,000 feet. We turned all the way down to deck, with both of us taking pieces of one another every so often. It was one of the longest white knuckled fights I've ever had, and I ended up stalling out at 50 feet and ditched. I haven't seen him in awhile, but he was always a fun fight.

Wish I would have got to fight the names like Levi, Drex and Shane in their prime...I really started actually learning to fight when names like Grizz and Kazaa were the big sticks in town.

What I was getting at is has the level we call skill these days better or worse now? I believe they were good but I just wonder how they would stack up today...like if Murdr was in January KoTH...would I have still been top killer? Just want to fight these big name pilots to see how I stack up...want to fight them in their prime not when it's their first week back after 2 years away. Not an Ego thing...it's a learning thing which I know you know Vudak...that was mainly for other old timers who don't understand the fight.

Too add to that...the person I really want to fight is m00t 1v1 in TA152s...he is that name everyone talks about in 152s...just want to see where I stack up.

 Then again you're better than me too. If you can hold your own against the best today then you would hold your own against the best of yesterday. Maybe not for the first half hour, but after you figured out their style anyway.

I concur.  Bar none Junky is the best dogfighter the Pigs have ever had.  But he is ugly and his mother dresses him funny.  :ahand

Heck man, you just got back too...our fights have been epic thus far. Looking forward to more.
