Here's something I have been wondering about:

Why is there such a thing as an indestructible hangar?

I seem to recall<note as disclaimer< that it is also the endpoint of resupply convoys and a terrain necessity. Have not searched the forum on this, but lately I find it easier to let others that know more to correct me than using the search function.

:airplane: Its for a "moron" to run in there and hide, or so he thinks, to wait on the troops running and then kill them all and be a hero!

Convoys end at a building known as a "depot".  Totally separate from the indestructible.  The hanger just serves as a place to pick your ride & skin.  It neither helps or hurts attackers or defenders.  There is also another building on the field that's indestructible (by default) called the Briefing Room.  It's sole purpose is where you get your initial "briefing" at the beginning of a staged mission.

Because it is now two different objects, the floor is the actual hangar. The out side shell is something else.

Since the hanger is open for gvs to enter, you need to be able to drop a sack of eggs on their map room camping rear ends.    :)

Ok, but why is it there?  What function does it serve?
