March FSO
« on: March 01, 2016, 09:20:53 AM »
I saw in the announcements forum that we are running Midway this month...

That's cool and all....but....

I could have swore that I was told when I commented on having 2 early war PTO setups within the first 3 months of the year (even though this is supposed to be '43 and the one we ran in Jan was '42) that it would be changed...matter of fact...I try to find where I was told that and the whole thread is gone  :noid

But here we are...

I will defend the Empire of Japan with the lives of my men regardless... :salute

We didn't do anything to the thread. It's there someplace.

I replied also and it was the FSO 2016 schedule thread. Our comments were deleted and it was stickied after that. I remember the same as you Puller.

I concur.

Perhaps this is because the setups are indeed being changed.

Ok I understand now. We had the 2016 FSO Schedule as a sticky and we just "cleaned it up" by taking off the comments. That's all. Was just housekeeping.

I will state again that the schedule is always tentative. The FSO Team may change the setups if we see the need to. That's been the case since we first posted started posting a yearly schedule on the FSO BBS.

I love PTO setups. I hope the B5n is used as the sub for the TBD instead of the late war TBM that we have on the plane roster.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Waystin here ya go buddy http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,377996.0.html

First off....just like I said in the 2016 FSO thread...

I am a huge fan of the PTO setups...I love them...I cannot think of a time in the 11 years I have played this game that I have been on the Allied side in one of them...I love the Japanese planeset...I love fighting the blue planes...but...in all of that, we all know how outclassed the Japanese early war planeset is...it is hellasiously hard to bring down a Wildcat when you are outnumbered by said Wildcats...Its hard to bring down a SBD when you are outnumbered by both SBDs and Wildcats...that being said...

Are you telling us that we are not going to run Midway starting on the 11th???...even after it has been announced???

I don't have any problem running Midway this month...I just don't like the idea of there being 2 completely lopsided, Allied favored FSOs in the first 3 months of the year...

Hard to say exactly how balanced the event will be since the write-up hasn't been posted yet. It should be similar to Coral Sea events.

Of course, it would be the Allies making your point if March was something that seemed to favor the Axis after the pounding they took last month.  :devil

I hope the B5n is used as the sub for the TBD instead of the late war TBM that we have on the plane roster.

Indeed. This measure helped reduce the lopsidedness of the last running of Coral Sea.

Oh....should we not be updating our sides and rides by now...seems today is the 5th and since I believe it will be my turn for CIC some time this month...I would like a little bit of time to get my stuff together so I can do my normal crushing of the Allied side  :ahand

LOL

They don't want us....putting us in bombers and not sending escorts with us is their MO...

What really drove us away is, Jamusta (who refuses to play anymore  :noid ) made us a dedicated Allied squad, with the P-38 as our dedicated historical ride...well...he left the squad with me...so I started rotating...when the P-38 was in a scenario I would jump Allied only to NOT be put in our dedicated historical ride...to be put in bombers...with no escort...and get fed to JG11 or some other squad of equal size (normally JG11 finds us anytime we go Allied...and it's never a good thing come across a squad of 15 with 4 or 5 guys) as a matter of fact I have a film from last year...I can't remember what squad it was but there was 5 of us...Cmex, sawzaw, molten, gp5 and myself...we came across a squad of Yaks at least 14 or 15 strong...needless to say by the time it was over there were no yaks left for us to shoot down and we might of had some damage but no loses that I can remember....I will find said film...Might even send it to Dolby and see if he can do it some justice for me...
