Yuppers quite a few flights this morning. One of the bennies of staying on base is being here for the flight training and this year the airshow.  :neener:

 I heard this weekend that they plan to have an airshow in my home town!

  They had them for years but stopped in mid 90's because of insurance.I've heard a raptor is supposed to show up as well as the Canadian Lanc.

  It's plan for early Sept. and should be a great show!

Watching the fly bys I just saw a 4some with an F86,16,15 and 22. You really notice the size differential. We think of fighters as small but comparing WW2 and Korean vintage birds to the current iron makes them look TINY compared to the F15 and F22. The piston jobs, except for the 38 look like gnats compared to those birds. Even the 38 looks a bit small.

Going to try to watch the practice airshow on Friday here at the base, otherwise I'm going to stay here at the fam camp and away from the crowds. Gotta love being able to live on base.

I wonder if one of the F86's is the one owned by Michael Dorm from the Star Trek shows.

Thanks Oldman, Nypsy!  Actually some guys will let folks get up on them.  Mine were taken with a selfie stick and a GoPro.  Full disclosure, I did a lot of drooling.
