Changing Modes
« on: March 20, 2016, 10:25:37 PM »
I use different modes for different things while flying and have had this happen (see below)

I goto mode 3 and copy mode 1.
I then change mode 3 joystick Y axis to elevator trim.
I then assign a button to switch between modes 1 and 3.
If I now select mode 3 everything is fine but if I switch back to mode 1 while flying, my landing gear pops out no matter what speed I am doing and rips off, even though I have not touched any buttons assigned to gear.

Any idea's?

Try unassigning the gear button in mode 3.

If that fixes it try reassigning gear to the button while in mode 3 if you need a gear button in that mode.

Thanks FLS  .. that worked :)

I am pretty sure what was happening was my warthog throttle was switching certain things on and off depending on where the assigned button was positioned.

i.e.  Mode 1 - gear switch is up, switching to mode 3 reactivated it, even though I hadnt touched it.  Unassigning it worked.  Was also happening with WEP .. thats gone too now :)

Cheers <S>

Ok .. gear pops out intermittently when I change from Mode 1 to Mode 3 even though gear is not assigned to any button on JS or Throttle?

There must be another button assigned somewhere .. will go searching :)

If you're using the toggle switches check to see if you're leaving one switched instead of putting it back before using another one.
