Audit player command
« on: April 07, 2016, 01:57:22 PM »
I would like a button or command to use much like a check 6 call that will flag a pilot I think may be cheating. If enough other players tag this player over a certain length of time an admin can be notified and the player monitored whenever he or she is on.

Tags are confidential and nobody would know the player had been tagged. I can only tag the same player once. I can only tag one pilot every quarter.

It's better to send film to support.

Wouldn't it be easier on Skuzzy if you asked him to setup something that traces the Internet routes primary to traffic into Texas and have a real time updated view of say every 120 - 300 minutes? Some guys look like they have the secret god mode key combo when the reality is their route into Texas sucks that night. He can do nothing about someone playing AH with 12 sisters on WiFi surfing Hello Kitty fan sights to watch film clips.

I recently upgraded my video card and started seeing things I used to think players were insta swapping nose for tail or insta fading backwards. Instead they were kicking a tail skid or dumping everything to pull a very tight turn off the merge or got their flaps out and I never saw it in my 60fps time slice window. I will venture the better your video card the more salient visual info you will render to your 60 fps time slice.

And if your route into Texas sucks, other players can look like they have the god mode key.

There already is!   It's a simple .report ,or if you dont think that is sufficient then just record film and send to support at HTC.

HTC has a policy about not talking about this subject, but dont let that fool you they take it very seriously, they just dont mention any steps they may take.

IMHO 99.9% of the time it's one of the things Bustr mentions above, atleast that's been my experience in the 2 weeks or so I've been playing. :aok

That hits awful close to home, with 8 kids and a wife beating up a fiber connection. At 100/80 you would think that's not an issue. :/

I just upgraded my video card and quit my night job. I might have to give it another go.

Recently I've been playing in the MA with my FoV at 95. I've found my view of what my opponent off the merge is doing seems more in real time. Essentially the 60 FPS I'm looking at are 60 frames from a closer contiguous time window versus I may be seeing my PC's best attempt at showing me something not as contiguous. I could be wrong on this observation but, I see a lot less micro warping and sudden nose for tail instant maneuvers.

When I've had my FoV over 100 is when I saw things that had me crying impossible. The really hot sticks in the game set very high FoV numbers for the SA and virtual peripheral vision advantage. Their experience with the timing of ACM probably makes up for any WTF they may be seeing. And being ACM practitioners they are more likely to be the WTF moment for their less talented opponent as a component of their aggressive nature.

A FoV of 100 or less can be frustrating due to having to expend a lot of effort constantly looking around opposed to say 110-120 where you see a much larger area around your view direction with far less effort.

Something I was not prepared for, under 100 FoV, going to zoom to shoot is not a good idea unless it is a straight chasing shot. Your real window inside of zoom below 100 is very tiny in terms of seeing any lateral area. So going to zoom the moment you make a snap shot on a lateral traveling con, he is there then he is gone. Below 100 your gunsight and FoV for combat out to 600yds at the default view is sufficient.

This sounds like something that would develop into a toxic environment and that is not good.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

When I was a new Player:
Ignorance level = high,
suspicion of other players cheating = high,
My own SA and flight skills =  :joystick:  (sucked)
hearing the hushed approach discussing "cheating" =  :noid

If it's a single player constantly warping, jumping, insta-accelerating, UFO-maneuvering, simply observe and report.

You're only going to frustrate yourself attempting to kill them, AND potentially give them "the satisfaction", so capture the shenanigans and send it up the ladder to the executioners (they take it very seriously).

A lot of the times as stated above, it's just an artifact of having many gamers existing within the same virtual environment... There will be bugs.  :blank:

I think that pretty much sums up 'cheating' in this game. Not saying it's impossible to cheat - I've never tried to myself so I wouldn't know how difficult it might be - but good pilots can do things that make less-experienced players swear they're cheating. Then you get some experience under your belt, start building your own bag of tricks, and before you know it, you're the target of cheating accusations!

Which, by the way, is one heck of an honor. So if this idea were to be implemented, might I suggest that instead of it being anonymous, cheating accusations instead become a new achievement :rock

The only actual cheating/hacks I've seen were blatantly obvious. The 8 player limit being bypassed in h2h (why there is no longer h2h), bombers with unlimited bombs/goons with troops type of thing.

How do we know they don't already monitor suspected cheaters?  How do we know they don't monitor everybody all the time?
