Got my account restarted yesterday, after a close to six month hiatus. We were in the process of building a new house while simultaneously selling the old one, and there was next to no spare time (my music basically ate up what little free time I had). Now, we're moved into the new house, the old one is under contract and closes in less than two weeks. So I got my sim-pit put back together, created a new account (HTC won't let you re-open an account if it lapses, apparently, so I had to start a brand new one...Thankfully, I was able to claim my in-game callsign). So, I got on-line last night and
a couple of sorties. Sortie 1, shot down by fleet ack without firing a shot. Sortie 2, tangled with a F6F, got chewed up a bit, but managed to bring him down and land successfully. Sortie 3, caught a group of B17s making a second pass at the base I launched from. Head-on through the formation got me two kills, for the cost of some non-critical wing ventilation. Whipped back around on a straggler and brought him down in a single pass, raking him with a rear-quarter slashing attack. Landed and called it a night. It's soooooo good to be home!
