Final Release timeframe?
« on: April 15, 2016, 09:47:46 AM »
AH3 is looking really good. Any expectation to when the final version will be completed and ready? Will AH2 still be around in a transition phase? I am ready to move to AH3 personally, excited actually.

Only a few bug items left on my list.

Decided to support dx11 working on that port at the moment.

So after dx11 is stable and the remaining few bugs are fixed, I plan on going live.

Once live I.E. v 1.0 AH2 will automatically update to AH3.

Surprised by a rapid answer to this question, surprised and happy - sounding very positive, and sounds like pretty soon too.  I for one can't wait to see how it is when full of players, had a blast every time I've played in the Beta, and that little air spawning thing Nefarious ran with the bombers showed a lot of potential of what could happen in the future with the game.

When Hitech releases the beta patch that brings us up to DX11, lets all pitch in big time to help run down any unforeseen bugga boos. I would really like to start playing AH3 live prime time.

Have you figured out a good way to do the road/rail/river system yet?

Will the road tool have a none strat resupply generic road type which can be used to connect bases to bases and towns to each other to look like real world transportation arteries? Depending on how tree tiles are painted by terrain builders, it may become nearly impossible for GVers to get anywhere without a lot of meandering through tree mazes. That would be a very simple way to protect towns by slowing down GV assaults with unbroken tree mazes surrounding the town.
