Thanks guys. Really.
Over the past decade plus - I've made a lot of similar threads for my boys when I was leading the Jagd. JG 11 is just something incredibly special that if you have never been apart of than you certainly would not understand. And that is not to say that everyone enjoys something very special within their own units...of course not. I left the game for 6 months or so after my wife passed, but here I am again back in the pit, goggled up and strapped in. Simple reason why...The guys in the 11th Jagdgeschwader. Nothing could fill that particular void outside of spinning wood on a Friday night with my mates of old. There is no substitute for that and where else could I see 16 Bf109G-14's in a perfect 4 schwarm formation on a Friday night in the year 2016? No where. And for that reason I have hope that the game will not only survive but thrive with the new release - as long as we all hold true to what makes this game great - eachother.
example: My friend Canukk - Stepped up and took the reigns of the 11th rather than let this group dissolve upon my departure...( admittedly with humility - not small shoes to run along in) and not only that but has allowed me to come back to the game and just enjoy flying as a nub in the wing...exactly what I need right now and frankly you folks who know me well...it's exactly all I ever wanted to do...
Things like that...we all have our similar tales...are what makes the AH gang...us.
Impressive milestone! Your welcome for our Tu2 sacrifice.
Nef you and your allied squads played it as well as any could. <S> We had red star fighters in icon range a full 30 minutes before your strike aircraft arrived. It was an exercise in discipline and it was mighty fun.
Thanks again all - Here's to 250 more!
