Nvidia driver version 365.19
« on: May 13, 2016, 09:56:40 PM »
I was expecting this release would include a "Just in Time" profile for DOOM, but that did not make an appearance. However, there are several fixes there have been anticipated. Tom Clancy's The Division has seen stuttering with SLI after 20-30 minutes of play, but they claim to have that fixed now.

The "Driver installation will fail if GeForce Experience is a selected component and the system is either in safe mode or without a network connection." bug is still present.

You should use the Express install whenever possible. After you install this driver update you should reboot immediately.

Doom doesn't have SLI working right now either, at least it's not working on my SLI systems - pretty good performance from 980 and 980ti, SLI should be pretty good with Doom if I can get it working.

Right, by default it is configured as a Single GPU app in the SLI configuration window of Nvidia Control Panel. You can force it using the alternate frame rendering method 2 as I have outlined many times for AH. When I did this I got SLI scaling that comes in at about 175% even on the opening screen. I am also using DSR. Bethesda forced TXAA at x8 (I think it was) which I will drop to either off or x1 if possible, since I don't think I need it at 4k.

Oh, and don't forget that updating the drivers will turn off SLI.

I turned off the TSSAAx8, because I am already pushing DSR and I think the 4k more than makes up for any AA level. Otherwise, I have all settings in the advanced section on either High, or Ultra, including the blur options. I'm going to try a speed run later tonight to test the FPS, but it seems to be fairly consistent at around 60fps. I have not detected any 'stickiness' or control lag of any sort, although I seem to missing a few more shots than I would like. I may have to step a few things down, but I really set things up the way I did to see how good the game could really look. I will have to do a comparison run with Xbox and PS.
