Stats on my mass mailing to old players

As part of my ongoing quest to get people into Scenarios (and if you aren't signed up yet for the June scenario, you *know* what you should do!), I have sent out a mass mailing to people who played in any Scenario over the past few years.  I sent about 800 e-mails.

Of those, about 10% are dead addresses, and so far (it's been a couple of days since I sent it), about half the people I sent mail to opened the mail.

I've gotten some replies from some folks who have been out of the game for a while, and here and there are some folks who are going to come back and give things a try after some years away.

Alas, Krusty isn't one of the ones coming back.  You all will have to look back with nostalgia on his curmudgeonliness.

The best I can do is walk-on. To sign up I feel I would have to guarantee my ability to make each date. A very hard if not impossible thing for me to be able to do.

I know you are short on Axis. When I walk on I will be open to be where you need me, bomber or fighter.

Because I got one. I felt like the plague victim in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "I'm not dead yet!"

Brooke does not give in easily. Folks are slow to sign up.... It's simply another challenge.

Wondering if that Scenario was where my wingman had me set as white and lost vis on me in the snowy terrain. LOL We were talking but he could not locate me. I ended up on the deck with a mix of three 190s and 109s.


We still laugh about that. Good times, good times!

I sent it to both recent and not recent players -- basically, all scenario participants in the past few years.
