PS... Snide remarks and insults are one of the biggest reasons people don't want to be CMs.

And one of the biggest reasons some players never make it past the initial application phase.

I ask, no, I beg for all large maps to be removed from rotation until our subscriber base rises to a healthy level again.

I think smaller areas are the way to make the game way more fun when there are fewer players.

Fun depends on players/area.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

The fact of the matter is that the CM team is known as the Ol' boys club by quite a few people I have flown with over the years. I hope you don't think I am being insulting or snide.
Perhaps it would be more productive to ascertain the origin and reason for it's continued use, then perhaps those findings could be used to increase applicant rate and reduce the washout rate than just dismissing it.
I for one wouldn't mind trying to do the CM thing, but would I want to deal with the ol' boys club? Does my face fit, doesn't take a genius to figure that out; no it doesn't for I dare speak my mind. So why waste both our time.  :salute

That hasn't been an issue on the AvA staff in a decade, give or take, so no excuses.  :D

Easy in-game again.

well for anyone that's interested in something different, the AVA staff is always willing to try out new people and teach them what they need, to be successful. if you want something new and different and with a next level excitement of the game, we're always happy to take someone on. we love people who have a creative spirit and we encourage experimentation. we are always looking for Arena admins, setup creators, terrain builders, object builders and event writers.

we are planning an Epic AVA war and can always use a little extra help. we have great terrains, a huge setup library and we have Monday night madness and Thursday night tank fights. soon we will have a Saturday night slugfest. come see what we're all about.

Join the AVA staff and you wont be sorry! We are especially looking for non-US members, but everyone is welcome to try out.

yes, this is a shameless plug for AVA staff recruitment!
