Biplane crash
« on: May 15, 2016, 11:11:54 AM »
What happened here?  The aircraft seemed to have sufficient airspeed.  I noticed a slight wing-wobble right before impact.  Is this what an accelerated stall looks like?

Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.

That was painful to watch... My prayers go out to the pilot and his family.

I saw another video that showed the one that crashed reaches the top of the loop you can see the plane tumble. From what I heard was they think something broke as he came over the top and it started tumbling and there was nothing the pilot could do after that.

Impossible to say from that video only, need to see the entire maneuver.

Ok, from other vids it seem like something happen on the top of the loop, like you said fugitive, but its hard to tell if he pulled too hard and lost control or if something broke.

I just watched the other video.  Something happens right before impact.  It looks like the descent rate is almost arrested.

After watching the vids on YT it seems like an accelerated stall, just barely but enough. He is going almost straight down and wobbles a bit when he starts to pull up so i guess he pulled a bit too hard on the stick and were unable to recover.
