Jimmy Stewart in a B-24...but then again he really flew them in combat.  Kinda tough to top his act  :aok

Roald Dahl (author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, among others) -- the Hurricane, as he was a Hurricane ace in WWII.

Not an Ace but did fly Hurricanes.  Seriously injured in a crash.

I was going from his biography I have.  He never claims that but does talk about the effects of the crash on him
