Point 1. There is no record of Patton actually personally riding in a tank in WWII

Point 2. Thats not Patton but George C Scott

I think he was making a pretty good joke.  :aok

Reading is much better for learning about this kind of thing that watching youtube.

The RAF was never nearly defeated at any point in the BOB. And lined up behind them was a navy that had to be dealt with somehow after the Germans had thrown away their own small surface forces in Norway.
When you take the numbers presented in Brute Force, and the intelligence advantages the allies east and west had and throw in that he Germans demonstrated very clearly what would happen to anyone they defeated.
All that was needed was the willingness to fight them.
The allies had dozens and dozens of painful but certain ways to beat the Germans, the Germans had only the hope that they would not be fully opposed.  And their own actions ensured they would be fully opposed.
The rest is just romanticism.

Their biggest mistake was bombing Pearl Harbor.

And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Hitler made no mistakes,  WW1,2,3 were preplanned and are following the blueprint, unfortunately we can't talk about this here.

Not being able to win wars is the German problem.

And being overpaid to keep them from dusting off their boots

The Germans did pretty well against the Romans.

After the Romans, the Franks (a group of German tribes) took over a land thereafter called "France", and two German tribes, the Angles and the Saxons, took over a land thereafter called "Angleland".
