Maybe he should refrain from comparisons to other weapons he has never fired.  :bhead

It is my sincere hope that the truly stupid have a moment where they see a comment like this, and/or come to the realization on their own, and go, "Holy crap!  I am a complete idiot!"  Sadly, I have never seen it happen.

I dont think this guy should be allowed to fire a gun.

It's the other way around.

He can stand behind me while I defend our freedom with my gun.

First off it lives and makes it's living writing in ny. That alone should tell you something. Secondly it is a prime example of a nebbish...

I think you ought not refer to another person as an 'it' regardless of how much contempt you have for them or how much you disagree with their opinion.

In today's world you can't look at a person and tell if they are a man or a woman. Many seem to accept that. It is the best way to refer to a person who has not said what they are.

Today's society believes you are what you say, not what you are or do.

Just Crocodile Dundee them. It's almost infallible. I think the gender of the journalist is clear if you look at the article.

I don't think the author had ever fired a gun before, or was lying if he had, if he felt the AR15 has "horrifying".  After getting my first single shot 12 guage at 13, I didn't buy a magazine fed semi auto until 16.  I had 3 years of shooting a very light, shooting average load 12 guage rounds by the time I first shot an Ar15 A2 heavy barrel.  The first thing I thought was "wtf is this sproiiing" sound (the buffer tube/spring working in the fixed stock always makes this sound/feeling), and the second was "wow, this doesn't recoil very much at all".  Any adult trying to make the Ar15 or any 556 auto loading rifle seem "horrifying" is either very, very inexperienced, as in 1st timer pretty much, OR, has an obvious agenda to make such rifles seem "scary".

I had to laugh at this so call author's letter pushing his agenda. Then again at any so called news site that would call it news. A petite girly girl would be considered a brute in comparison to this "writer".

The AR 15 is favored by sportsmen and hunters. Killers or mass murderers just like anything that kills.

He should move to Chicago where it is safer... you know with the stringent gun laws and all.

"IT" isn't fit to lick the excrement from my boots. It's one thing to have a differing opinion. This is beyond a difference of opinion, and any so-called journalist should be ashamed of such a terrible "article".

Wiley.

Even if he does realize how wrong he is, it will not override his will to push the agenda of gun confiscation.  The end always justifies the means with people so single-minded of purpose, that they will even lie to themselves.
