New Top Gear.
« on: June 20, 2016, 10:39:24 PM »
So I just watched the first 2 episodes of the new Top Gear season.

Surprisingly I actually like Matt LeBlanc as a presenter, even though we know it's all scripted he comes off as laid back and genuine.

But... ... that Chris Evans guy has GOT to go.  I'd guess they thought that his "shoutiness" would compliment Matt's laid back attitude/style.  But I just find him to be annoying, everything he does just seems so 'forced' like he's trying WAY to hard.  Also the new celebrity rally car thing is fine, but again, Evan's interview style I just can't stand, and he dragged it on and on and on for a third of the show.

In short, keep LeBlanc and pair him with somebody else.

Also anybody know if Eddie Jordan is gonna be a regular, is was that a one time guest spot?

Chris Evans is from my town and is a dispicable individual. :old:

He is a greedy self serving individual.

Saw him once years ago wearing a leopard skin leotard, dirty sod.

I've seen a couple episodes. So far I am on the fence as to whether I will continue watching them. Certainly no where near as funny as the previous crew. Frankly I watched more for the comedic value than anything else as I will never ever get to drive the vast majority of cars they showed. Far to expensive for my tastes and wallet. Clarkson may have been a total bellybutton but he was funny, especially when he did something that scared him. I still love the homemade RV show they did and his 3 story camper.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

He's talking about the actor. Not some random guy named Chris Evans that you knew back in school.

Side note.. I saw possibly the funniest bit on top gear I'd ever seen this week. Clarkson "Sorry I can't understand a word you're saying". I lost my toejam.

Go to about 4:00 in the video

I have watched three episodes. So far I like the new cast. I do miss the old cast but the producers are still making
a fun and entertaining program. Watching Rory Ried in that Tesla Model X (762 BHP) in Ludicrous mode out sprint the Barracuda with a similar BHP was pretty amazing.

He is not a actor he is a creepy bloke who worked for the BBC radio 1 and who is a turd
