Just Dropping By

Hey guys and gals!  Hope everyone is doing well!  I'm just dropping in to check on everyone.  I still don't have any internet at the house, so flying is still out of the question for a very long time. 

A couple updates on myself, though:  I'm now entering my 3rd year as a high school history teacher, I own my own house, and I have now been married for almost 2 months!  So, although I can't fly, I still have plenty to do! 

Can't wait to hear back from you guys.  I miss the virtual skies!

I often think of the hours we spent in the TA!!! I am going to try to get some satellite Internet in the future. Maybe it would be enough for me to just sit and chat like old times!

Gotta admit I miss seeing you in the TA, but I've been busy since I left too. Been married for 3 years now, and I start college this fall.

I will be teaching high school history this fall in North Carolina. I just graduated from Appalachian State University this spring. I will be helping with football and baseball, looking forward to teaching kids everything I love about history, and giving back to the community. Only tricky part is I'm 22, so very young.

I'm 24. I was 22 when I started teaching.  My best advice us to come in tough and stick to your guns ALL semester.  You've got to establish yourself as the adult in the room, which usually means being a sweetheartbag.  I struggled staying strong all semester, but I've pretty much fixed that.  Feel free to PM me if you ever have any questions, and I'll share what I know.  It's best us young guns stick together!
