Very unnecessary fact to know: A tank on the moon can (in theory) killshoot itself simply by firing a sabot round, Watch it fly around the moon and hit the tank in the rear..

Escape velocity is quite different from orbiting velocity, and your AR only needs to achieve a suborbital interception of the Nazi ships in orbit. Your AR should be able to reach up to a pretty high orbit on the moon.
