Yesterday I got one of these little postcards saying that a membership had been entered in my name to receive pre-selected free magazines. However, I've never signed up for anything like this and didn't give my consent to be entered and I'm concerned I'm going to start getting bills for things I didn't order.

Has anyone ever delt with these guys and did you get anything suspicious from them?

Yeah read up on it last night about how when you buy some things online or in a retail store you may, without your knowledge or consent, have your info transferred over for these free trials. That concerns me since the only thing I've bought online was a few games on steam so hopefully that's not the case.

Perhaps you might check your browsers for any addons that may have snuck themselves in, and double check your anti-virus and anti-malware. Or, on the off chance you have one of those girlfriend or wife things, perhaps ask if they've put your name in for anything.

Contact your local consumer protection or Attorney General's office. They'll be happy you called.
