user profile

I got stupid and I hid my user profile in c:\users

now I have no web browsers . I did it using properties and checking box read only and hidden in attributes.

fixed it. only way I could do it was do a system restore to the day before.  palemoon worked but not firefox.  had to restore the profile for firefox to last week. both are working fine now.

You should have been able to unhide the folders by going into the view options?

that's the first thing I did.  but for some reason both Firefox and palemooon could not access the profiles. so they wouldn't open.  kept seeing this it's already open message.

Both of them place their cache/temporary folder in there. I'm not sure it's even a good idea to move the folders. I have, but I think at least one browser freaked out (might have been Chrome, or Safari).

yeah it was a lesson learned.  was trying to unhide the files without actually knowing what I was doing.  I think somehow I made the files read only.
