BigRat;
We don't have any cookies but I can promise you there are plenty of biscuits – more than you can eat or want to eat.
Okay, 1841 FAA is not as well funded and supplied as VF-17. And, yes, our Corsairs are borrowed and well used – "experienced" as we like to say in the FAA – but one significant difference in the Corsairs we use and those of VF-17 is ours actually fly from carriers. So there won't be any of that "flare to land; squat to pee" here – if you get to land at all. (No offence to any ladies in VF-17.)
Another thing I can promise you besides biscuits is that you will be outnumbered in every engagement. Even 5 or 6 Ju 87 loaded with a big old bomb are considered a threat to be taken seriously. There is no slack time or safety in numbers in 1841. Sometimes you feel like you're winning if you get two more turns in before being sent to the tower
. You will feel like you have been through something when you actually get to land and tower-out occasionally. Then there are those really rare moments where you feel like you have accomplished something when you get "1841 FAA" on the Squadron Kill Board when you only have two shooters
. Can't experience those things in a bigger squad.
We could use you BigRat! Give us a consideration even if you are just trying to negotiate a better contract or bigger hut on the beach with VF-17.
Big
to VF-17!
