I ran out of essential fluids a mile off the French coast in frame 1. We had a little more dwell time feet dry because we throttled back significantly once we reached cruise altitude. A few of our guys landed with 1 or 2 gallons in frame 3 following the same theory. Most of the guys stayed at max cruise at altitude until bomber egress, then came down to fight (mostly defensive).
1.1 hours of endurance seems about right historically and we didn't waste any time forming up after delaying take off by ~10 minutes. Who knows what would happen if the fuel burn was moved even 1 decimal point?
My impression was the interceptors attacked piecemeal, but that's my perspective from where we were positioned over the buffs. The fog of war and all that.
Great job by all, I think.
