I said the same thing Hojo, but when I tried it with the Rift, I was impressed. Since I have a dozen+ Hotas/custom rudders, they aren't going anywhere, but for new players, it beats a mouse, significantly (Lazer being excluded). Very, very accurate controls, much better than I would have thought, the triggers work great, as does setting up the other buttons/pads for views. It really surprised me how well that Xbox controller worked. I would have to qualms about going into a duel with the xbox controller, or into the MA, while not as good as a good Hotas, it's a very close 2nd IMO. Look how good Lazer is with just a mouse - new players that join AH3 that have the Rift but no Hotas will be very well served with the Xbox controller in AH3, until they get into the game more and then may want a better control system.
