Why are there N1k2's in the write-up. The George wasn't in use until 1944.

Is this just a concession to playability and to give the Japs a better plane to use?

I agree that the choice of including the N1K is not accurate, but it does help balance the performance gap.

I do like seeing a purely defensive mid war Japanese tasking. I can't recall ever having one before, so this is welcome change of pace.  :aok

I figured that Devil. I have no problem with making the FSO more balanced at the expense of reality. In the past the '43 PAC setups are always a slaughter for the Axis and really not as enjoyable for me as it would be if they were made more competitive. And that's regardless of which side I fly. Although getting a frame win with the old setups as the Axis side makes me feel like something good was accomplished:)

That sounds good to me too, last 3 FSO's that I flew JP made me want to never do it again. Just a slaughter.

All,

We will be working to lock down side assignments by August 5th. But as you notice there is plenty of time. This is just a reminder for you to try and get your side preferences in as early as possible.

If we get enough side preference submissions in before that date, then we will complete the list and publish the August side assignments a little early. Thanks for your participation.

Another reminder to everyone for the AH3 Combat Challenge July 29th, being hosted tomorrow night in the AH3 Beta arenas. Bring your squaddies and friends and have a great time.

More details can be found here. >>> "Combat Challenge July 29, 016".
