Clipboard Maps
« on: October 26, 2001, 11:38:00 AM »
I figured with the influx of new folks and the fact that the base layout changed recently I would make new Field Maps.

AcId's Files

Installation:
Download the 3 Map files to you computer.
Under your HTC\Aces High\Maps folder there are 3 files (sfield.bmp, mfield.bmp, lfield.bmp) if you don't want them overwritten move them to a different location otherwise just copy mine to this same location.
In either "offline" or "Online" mode once in the game there is a pulldown menu at the top of the clipboard. You should have Normal World, Small Field, Medium Field, Large Field. The files you copied are the Small, Medium and Large fields, click one and it should bring up a Strategic map of that type of field with color coded, numbered locations of the different targets at a field.

Happy hunting......
Sorry lazs     :D

Thanks for the positive reponses guys.
Aztec I think your talking about this one, I don't know who did the original design, I adjusted it a little and added different colors, thats all. I still need to redo it since the resolution was upped for gunsights, but I did edit the edges so it'll look normal in 1.08     :)

Ahh what the heck , here's my version of the default gunsight also. I use it raised to the edge of the gunsight glass to give slightly better vision below the nose of some aircraft.

exlax, if you took the default instalation the maps should go under C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\maps
If you do not have this folder you may need to reinstall with the latest rev.

I have a terrains folder but no maps folder. I installed with a freh download this morning on top of a fresh format and install of windoze from last night. I'll try making a folder called maps and putting them in to see if it works.
