I think it's the toughest fighter in the game. Takes way to many rounds to knock it down.

IRL 1 or 2 20mm minen-geschoss (that was standard ammo) rounds was enough down both LA-7 and Yak-3's according to Russian resources.
The only plane that challenge the durability of the Yak3 in AH2 is the B26 bomber.

Yak9U seems to fall apart much more easily than the yak3.
