OK what's going on, what's really going on?
« on: August 02, 2016, 05:11:39 AM »
OK let's start by taking a look at some of the recent topics on the bulletin board.

"loss of members"

"Early Hours Boredom"

"Let's get more people back in the skies!"

"Where is everyone??"

"How to Increase Playerbase"

HHmmmmm that's five topics I count is anyone paying attention? I wonder?
It would seem that many customers are
disappointed, depressed, discourage, disgusted, disgruntled, discontented, disenfranchised, frustrated and yes downright pissed off!

HELLO? ANYONE HOME?
With the utmost respect. I hope you understand that I wouldn't bust your balls If I didn't care, I care. I want to see this thing succeed.
The decline must be stopped! NOW!

On 6-30-16. Admittedly, in the off hours. There was a team with no players on how do you play a game with no players on?

"time is of the essence."

I think it's time for the paying customers of this game to be shown a little respect. By that I mean it's time to stand up and let everyone know what is being done to restore this game to its past glory and when roughly, will that be done? I don't think that's much to ask, Considering many of the customers have been loyal for more than a decade.

I'm sure I've gotten myself in plenty of hot water but it is what it is!

With all the love and respect your good old friend Lefty.

Oh and by the way, I'm not a troll.

What really is going on, is that since you have been logged on to the boards this morning, you have added a 6th thread to your above list with this thread of yours.....

2nd - since it appears that you have been logged on/a member of this message board for the past 12+ years, you should be fully aware that it is a known fact that only roughly 10% +/- of the message board members, (some of those 10% don't even actually play or have played in sometime, BTW), are the only people who post to the boards regularly.... the rest of the board members simply lurk mainly for "Morning Coffee spewing comic relief"

The majority of the players in the game hardly even mess around here on the boards, outside of probably getting entertainment from reading some of the threads/posts....

If all of the people that have wasted their time in the threads you listed above, who have posted or had heated discussions in those threads, would have used the time and energy they have spent all on those threads, directed and spent even 1/2 or even a 1/3 of the time they had by reading all Alpha Testing news, Beta testing news and would participate in the Open Beta instead.....

HTC would have probably, most likely have released Aces High 3

"2 weeks ago".   One could say.....heh.....

Become part of the solution

Good morning, cheers, <§> hope you have a great day!

"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

With respect, if many of the messages in those threads aren't addressed in AH3, a little makeover isn't going to save this game. What it will do is bring a ton of people back for 3 to 6 months before the same stuff that caused them to leave in the first place causes them to leave again.

I think this game's niche has always been game play and community both of which are pretty stressed right now.

We're basically giving feedback on the state of the game, which should be as valuable as testing bugs.

It's summer here in the US of A, and from my experience, that's a slow time in the game. The young'ns are on vacation or outside at the pool.  I don't think it's a secret, but yes, it appears by all evidence numbers are down.

HTC is working on AH3, and I bet once it comes out, and gets stable, the advertisements will begin and a flood of new players will give it a try.  I came here after seeing an advertisement, so it should work on others.

Were I you, I would concentrate on getting your fellow players to encourage new players, help new players and be a good online citizen.  I personally don't care, but new people won't stay if they get PM's after getting killed from long time players pounding their chest ("better bring more friends next time lol lol").  They won't stay around when top tier players fly nothing but perk planes hovering around fights and pick them the moment they try to engage someone (we all know who they are).

Start working on this now, so when the flood comes in, we can ALL benefit.

Lefty, have you looked out of the window lately? It's summertime. I don't know about you, but at least people here like to spend their evenings outside especially during their summer vacation. Fishing, gardening or just having some b&bbq. When I started, many of us even used to delete our accounts for the summer in order to save some money.

If they haven't tried recently then it's trash talk. A month ago, it was unplayable for my machine. Last Friday, I was getting 60-100 fps.

It's beta, judging before the final version is just plain silly...

Very well said.

I'll add one suggestion:  Start posting about AH in other combat flight sim forums.  I frequent pretty much all of them, and I can only recall reading a handful of posts about Aces High over the years.  This game has a lot going for it that can and will attract players from other games, but only if they know about it.

Yesterday I mistakenly placed a post in this subforum that belonged elsewhere.  One player responded in a negative fashion then preceded to challenge if I am spreading the word about Aces High.   This puzzled me.  Why ask me this question?   I'm the potential subscriber!  Instead of asking me, try turning the question around:  What have YOU done to spread the word?  Do YOU post in other flight sim forums about Aces High?
