Sheesh Devil.  Way to ruin the movie for everyone.  That's the longest movie trailer ever and gives everything away.

It reminds me of standing in line for the movie "Titantic" with my wife.  I told her, "I hope the part where the ship sinks doesn't look to cheesy with the CG", and a couple of 20 year old's in line behind us said, "The ship sinks ?!?!?!".
Wag more, bark less.

Why make a film about a defeat  :old:

Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery stated soldiers wearing Dunkirk badges was nothing to be proud of, he was the only commander to get his unit home in a orderly manner.

Normandy was a Victory👍

Dunkirk was only a defeat for the defeated just as Normandy was only a victory for the victorious.

Saw this trailer this morning,  looks pretty good.

Im guessing here,  but I doubt it will hit American theaters. Us colonials might have to wait for DVD.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I highly doubt that since it's a Nolan film.

I hope you're right.  :aok

I'll probably have to drive to a major market to see it anyway.

watched them filming some dogfights for this over lee-on-solent this afternoon.

Got buzzed by 2 spits at 50 feet.   Scared the crap out of me when I wasn't looking their way.   Looked like they were doing circle fights with a yellow nose 109.   Helicopter and plane was filming it all.   At least the footage will be real.   :aok

Tom hardy and harry styles star.   AH will be swamped with one direction fans after this hits the big screen.     :bolt:

My great uncle Jack was shot twice during the war.  Once on the beach at Dunkirk and 2 weeks into D-day by a german sniper.   He lived though.

I highly doubt that since it's a Nolan film.

My little cousin said she saw it before suicide squad so that certainly bodes well for US theaters. Problem is I live in WV...  Pittsburgh is the closest market for me that shows films that might not makecit locally.

Operation "Dynamo" May 27 - June 4, 1940 was one of the wins for England.  Had the men trapped at Dunkirk not escaped (337000 men) England may well have fallen right after Belgium, France and the Netherlands.  By securing an army that could be rearmed to defend the homeland, England ensured their survival.  I suggest you read "The Historical Atlas of World War II" by the brothers Alexander and Malcolm Swanston.  Patton was right about Montgomery.  Would have been interesting to hear Monty's thinking of "Operation Marketgarden",  one of the greatest military blunders of WWII.  That was his baby all the way.
