Like what I'm seeing
« on: August 11, 2016, 08:12:49 AM »
The general discussion is filled with game activities, up coming events, squad recruiting, returning players, new players, and fun theads like controller setups. That's what I like to see.

I really like the strong push for activities that encourage game play and encourage events that no other game has. That's what really makes this game great. I hope to see more of it!

maybe you'd like to join us in the AH3 AVA tonight for some tanking or Saturday night for AVA Wars?

We should have an Olympic non-event in the AVA. :D

I actually really freaking loved the AVA with no icons. It brought a new dynamic to the game. Hopefully I'll be able to play sat night.

I think If you guys study the smog 8 map, and make something similar, to where the entire map is about 4-6 sectors total, youd really have a lot of success with getting more people to be interested, as far as air combat is concerned.

I'm really glad you have created the flight setups like you have. It's really great. Thanks for you time doing this.

we already have some of those. 64 X 64 is the smallest maps we make. that's 2.5 sectors by 2.5 sectors.

Wait a sec.  You mean having no icons in an AVA was good?

 :headscratch:

Imagine that!  Whodathunkit?!?!    :neener:

P.S.  This is more directed at the guys who insisted AvA without icons would be unrealistic.  I agreed with your concern no icons adds difficulty for new players.

Yes it is good for the axis V allies scenario where planes are matched to their time periods, which I stated in my first post of that thread. This added something new to the game without ruining the image. It was also a great room for advanced AHers, due to not having icons.

It's not good for the MA where any plane can be flown from any period, thus creating too much confusion identifing the bad guy.

Yes.  I believe I stated the same thing.

It is a start.  War Thunder EC does the same.

The dots past 6k in the alpha\beta for about the last 18 months were about like AH2 dots. Then recently they became much larger and darker. Hopefully AH3 live they stay that way since they look like most PC and monitor setups will be able to display them.

Keep your fingers crossed.
