Thanks - this looks to be a good one!  I would like a P-38 spot in the 14th/1st FG

Ammo,

Be careful, CorkyJr as a weird training regiment for his P-38 pilots. Instead of flying on O2, He has the mechs install He in their birds. Then waits until you guys get to altitude and has you all recite the pledge of allegiance.

 :)

Welcome aboard sir.

"B", is kind of weird as well. He brings in lots of North Carolina pork barbeque with plenty of sauce. Feeds you guys well, then takes everyone up to see how many power on stalls you guys can make without giving the pork back.

No kidding, Major Wildcat1 and his band of long bearded, eye patched pirate pilots are at sea as we speak heading for the North Coast of Africa. The assembly depot in England has a very high demand for putting birds together right now. So they shipped his groups aircraft straight to a west African aircraft assembly depot still in the crates.

Well, I suppose you guys can either help assemble your planes or watch this training video from Zeno's Drive-In.

btw, the British authorities still have a warrant out for your arrest. Something about piracy on the high seas or some crap like that.

Cheers!

Now here is one of the toughest group leads we have in the corp. Major Randy1 hailing from Barksdale AAF near Shreveport Louisiana. His 319th Bombardment Group pilots set an endurance record for making the flight from Barksdale to Casablanca if four days by way of England. Only stopping for fuels and provisions. In fact the SS Tripoli, the freighter that brought over the rest of his support group arrived in Morocco one day later.

We will need Iron Men like Major Randy1 and the 319th to bring home the victory.

Well Randy, now that it is 110 degrees in the shade and your seeing mirages just on the other side of the runway, have your pilots cool their heels for a bit and watch this instructional video called "Flying the B-26 Airplane" from Zeno's Drive-In.

Alright Fellas,

Here's the dope...

Major "BFOOT1", now this fella is as classic as they get. He might be the youngest Major in the 12th USAAF or for that matter the entire Air Force. But I tell you this. He is one of the best air officers you're going to come by. He is smart, conscientious, and well organized, some of the signature traits of a good air officer.

So in general he's a fairly precocious dude. So ensure that you stay on his six.  :aok

Carry on...

Okay Gents,

You all know this fella and have likely flown with him many times or stood under his command. Colonel Dantoo has been transferred here from action in the South Pacific against the Japanese. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The Colonel upon arrival will take over Air operations, Fighter command and he will also GL the 31st FG. If there was ever a guy that deserves a general command it's this guy. Let's make sure he gets a warm welcome.

His pilots will still be in England when he arrives. He will meet them there and transfer to North Africa.

While his pilots wait, here is an inspiring video about the history of the Supermarine Spitfire. This is fighter that has been assigned to the 31st FG.

The 1st FG is being rounded up, preparing for our ferry flight to an UNKNOWN destination, or so the top brass says. Most of the boys, including myself have been in London Town, busting up every pub we can find.

ALL pilots are to report to their respective airfields in England, (27th is located at RAF High Ercall, the 71st & HQ are at RAF Goxhill, and the 94th at RAF Kirton in Lindsey.) Once all pilots have reported in, and are properly detoxed, pilots will be briefed and squared away for deployment to an UNKNOWN location.

That is all.
