Is there anyway we could get the hud in top right corner to show "true" air speed instead of "indicated"?

Curious why you would wish true air speed shown?

Also would it be possible to change the color of the text in the hud. I cant see it against the background of the sky even with it on darkest setting. Also have a problem seeing the outline of the tank gun  site with certain backdrops, would like to have option to make that black.

Is true airspeed your actual speed? I mean seems higher you go the father behind indicated falls behind true and with some planes locking up whn going to fast want to know how fast im really going.

Is true airspeed your actual speed?

There are are normally 4 speeds in aviation.

1. IAS Indicated Air Speed.  This is the speed that your air speed indicator shows.

2. CAS Calibrated Air Speed. This is the speed that your air speed indicator should show if there was no errors induced by angle of attack and other factors.

3. TAS True Air Speed. This is the speed you would be moving across the ground if there is not any wind.

4. GS Ground Speed. The speed in which you are actually moving across the ground.

When read speeds such as stall speed, or max speed (VNE) they are listed they are almost always shown in IAS. Because as you gain alt TAS will increase for the same IAS.

But you will always stall at the same IAS.
Control forces and max speeds are IAS.

On your gauges the big needle is IAS, the small red one is TAS.

Where does compression fit into the above?  Is it a function of IAS or TAS?

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

But I would really like to be able to toggle the text in the hud and the lines in the tank gun site between black and white.

My biggest grief with the airspeed and alt indicator is it interferes with my seeing who is talking on vox.

You can move the location of the info.  Buster (thanks) posted about it.  You can do it in preferences :) Pull up the GUI options, then you can click and drag everything on the screen to where you want it.  And then you can  :airplane:

You can turn the HUD and pitch ladder off too.

I'd consider using the HUD reading if it read tas.

WILEY--Compression is a function of mach, so TAS would be the one giving you your compression speed.

For example a P38 compresses at .68 mach....

.68MACH
ALT     TAS     CAS
SL      450      450
10K    434     379
20K    417     314

GTX 980TI
Intel I7-6700K @4GHZ
32GB RAM
Fly at 3840x 2160 resolution
