Stake out a nice chair at the pool for the small windows of opportunity to relax.

It's been hot and humid for all of August with nearly daily thunderstorms. We expect the storm will come this way.

I spent a little over a year in Pensacola. It's not bad, pop-up thunderstorms are pretty regular, but don't often last too long. It gets a little humid, and a little hot in the summer, but it's never TOO bad. Though, central AC is a must. It never got COLD cold, as long as I was willing to add a layer or two, I rode my motorcycle year-round.

I think he's talking about the three hurricanes converging on the US Southern coast lines.  Not local thunderstorms.

Yep we have our catastrophe Team HQ in Florida, perfect jump off point for gulf and southern Atlantic hurricanes. We're already getting voluntary deployment emails here at work

Looks like it's gonna be a busy season for property adjusters too  :aok

Looking at the reports on this first storm reminds me of a storm in 1982. We were out in the storm flying R/C and having a great time.

Well,
The company shifted gears and canceled the movement orders....... at 230 this afternoon the executives decided to reactivate the canceled movement orders. Still have no idea where Im headed, IF they actually can figure out where to send us.

All of you in Florida/Georgia/coasral SC/NC stay safe. The outages are beginning to grow so those not all ready in the storm, please prepare for your power to flicker at the very least.

Went swimming around noon, it's a treat to actually have breakers in the gulf. Only had one nasty feeder band come through with winds around 50kts, and a 12 inch 36 hour rain total.

The wind above the treetops was howling last night, but nothing at ground level. We got a little rain, but otherwise no indication of winds or anything else here. The eye came in about 150 miles east of us, so not much to speak of here. They called it a hurricane, but I think that was a stretch for attention.

Am in eastern North Carolina today. Arrived yesterday evening as the eye approached. It was more of a heavy rainstorm in this area. Its going to be a few days of work, but nothing as bad as Ive seen in the past. We have crews all over the place starting restoration.

Just another day for pole dancers....
