friendly/enemy padlock
What is this?

all i see it do is hi-light a enemy AC. Is there more to it than this?

Supposed to automatically keep the selected plane in view.  Not sure of the details, never tried it.  Prolly written up on the help page somewhere.  Also see, "target fixation".    :)

Am0n, I set it up offline to try it out...

It's not a smooth transition like other padlocks, it simply scrolls between views... such as 4/8 pr 6/8 or 4/2, simply combo views.

It loses lock when it goes behind a large structure, but I think it retains lock behind canopy struts.

I tried it out so I could tell people how to use it, in all honestly- pan/snap views are the best (not snap or pan.. but the snap/pan combo).
