My Ongoing TeamSpeak Problem
« on: September 15, 2016, 05:17:57 PM »
I can not start DX11 with TS overlay enabled, but DX9 works fine.  I've had this problem all through the beta testing and by asking around this board and my squad board, I seem to be the only one.  I've reloaded TS and AHIII without erasing any old files, but no change.  It baffles me as to why DX9 and DX11 would act differently to the TS overlay.  Any suggestions might help, because the only thing I can think of at this point is uninstalling AH and TS and starting from scratch.

Check to see if your team speak talk button conflicts with a key assignment in ah3.  Dx11 is just not as stable as dx9 at this point best I can tell.

Well? That's a headscratcher! My squad uses TeamSpeak and no problems at all. Well except for those who need an upgraded PC. Only 2 though luckily. Do you have the same problem with an open window, other than the TS overlay? I have one squaddie that cant get in on DX11 if he has another window up. I believe it was just Internet Explorer on home page. Or email page, shoot maybe both. It seemed like it was too much for his memory. He didn't get the greatest game experience in DX9, but it would still run ok-ish. It was a lot better after we figured out the problem with DX11, and he closes windows programs while in game...with DX9. DX11 version will still lock his system up, after a while. So that's why we think it was just a memory allocation issue. TeamSpeak doesn't cause him problems, that we know of. Now that he closes other operations, its hard to tell how much TS affects his rig. Just an idea! No geek here! I am not even sure how this stuff works...but I like it!!

I'll check all my button assignments, it's worth a try.  Thanks Randy

I can run DX11 with any other program on screen, although I only run AH with TS and TrackIR on screen.

To clarify, I can run TS and DX11 if I disable the overlay in TS.  DX11 will not start the overlay and just crashes AHIII at that point all I can do is press the close program button.

This is the MS message I get:

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\Liberty\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBF65.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\Liberty\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCB19.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\Liberty\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCB59.tmp.mdmp

When I search the computer those files don't exist.

Would you please send a little more from your DxDiag report? Not all of the rest, but down to and including sound devices might be helpful.

This is from where I left off till the end of sound devices.  When I tried to list the whole DxDiag it said it was too long.

Thank you. Obviously when we're talking about Team Speak, sound devices play a significant role there.

You might want to update or reinstall your audio drivers, since there's no Sound Capture Devices described. You are using a microphone, aren't you?

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Looks like it could be a wireless situation.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I'm using a USB headset (Turtle Beach Z60).  I'm not going through a sound card.

The only wireless device on my computer is a mouse.

Did you have your headset connected while running the DxDiag? I believe they should show there among other sound devices and provide some information about their drivers etc.

You are correct, they were not connected at the time.  I'll connect them and rerun DX
