windows key and ctrl - esc exit the game don't minimize it anymore

whenever i hit windows key now or crtl-esc, the game exits cannot reopen it by clicking on taskbar icon, nothing happens... but it still shows running in task manager.  i have to reboot or log out to reopen game.

A #2 screwdriver popped that rascal key right off my keyboard! Instant fix!

i liked that i could minimize game and do something else when needed... now it just disappears

UPDATE was running the game in DX11 opened in DX9 and it works fine.  must be another dx11 thing

What is dx9 and dx11?  When I hit capsock, my game goes into half screen.

There are two exe files in the Aceshigh folder aceshigh9 and aceshigh11. One is directX 9 the other is directx 11. Some people are having trouble running the DX11 version. Double click (or make a desktop icon) for the DX9 exe and run it with that one to see if it clears up your issue

Bear,   I'm running dx11 and the windows key works to minimize and clicking on AH icon in the task bar puts me right back in the game.   Just tried it.

This was reported before Patch 2 was released, which fixed the DX11 minimize issue.
