"Single engine aircraft of intermediate size" is a very blurry line though...

I look at it like this: could a radar operator tell the difference between a P-38, Bf 110, TBM, or an IL2 based on size? Probably not.

Would he be able to tell the difference between a Hellcat and an Il-2? probably not either.
