You can change all of the game sounds using FMOD.  I did a quick set of alternate gun sounds, alternate GV sounds, alternate plane sounds, and got it to work.  I can get a panther to sound like a panther, T34 like a T34, Tiger I like a Tiger I, etc.

How about track sounds that change rpm, too? My favorite so far is ricochets that explode and that are distance attenuated, and external engine sounds that sound like the real deal while internal sounds are completely different. And of course, there is always the tankgun sound that resonates with the turret and gives you that claustrophobic, cramped sensation of the actual tank. Guns that really do have the proper firing rate?
